Article Marketing – How To Do More In Less Time

Article marketing is a great way to get back links and traffic to your website. The problem is it’s just so time consuming. If you can’t afford to outsource your article writing here’s a couple of tips that should really speed you up.

We’re all short of time and if you can’t afford to outsource (more on that another time) the more “stuff” we can produce on a daily basis the better. After much trial and error we’ve (my wife Carol) and I now have article writing down to a fine art with as little wasted time as possible. We implemented the following:-

1) We use Dragon Dictate for article entry (voice recognition software) this halved the time it took to enter an article even after correcting any typos.

2) We bought a pair of Wireless Headsets so we could work hands free. We use it in two ways. Firstly we start a new document and then start dictating. Because the wireless headset has a range of about 10 metres we can leave the computer and go do something else whilst dictating (washing the dishes,dusting,filling washing machine etc etc) This is great for normal articles as no repositioning within the document is required so we don’t need to see the screen. This works well with any task that is very familiar and doesn’t require a lot of thinking to do. A 400-450 word article can easily be done in 10-15 mins.

3) If you can see the screen whilst working (ironing in same room) it’s possible to do spun articles these are more challenging as it requires control of the cursor but it’s possible because you can input commands to Word whilst dictating. So a session sounds a bit like this “go down,go down,go down I’m dictating some stuff here….new line…go down,go down…more stuff” you get the idea. Ironing and article spinning combined!

4) After the success of the above we took it one stage further.  The range of 10 metres is OK but what about when we’re out of the house? We bought a Dictaphone that produces .wma (windows media files) that can be downloaded to the computer. Now all we do is dictate an article into the dictating machine, download to the computer and then use the transcribe function to convert it into a document!

Woo Hoo it works like gang busters – very little wasted time and I’d say it’s nearly doubled our output lol

Internet Marketing just got a little bit easier! Your mileage may vary as we’re very sad people but you may want to give it a go.
